Trogir

Trogir was founded by Greek colonials from island Vis in 3rd century before Christ. On that foundation was built old city core. It’s located on small island between mainland and island Čiovo with which it is connected by a bridge. Trogir is the best preserved romantic-gothic city on Mediterranean. Even today part of city walls, tower and fortress are preserved. They are located on west side of the island.
The biggest building in town is Saint Lovre cathedral built in 13th century, known by its beautiful stone carved portal.
